Day 1: Arrival Hanoi (Dinner at local restaurant) - FRIDAY
Your Vietnam holiday starts as we meet you at Hanoi airport (Noi Bai), and you’re taken directly to your hotel. Hanoi is a stylish and exciting city that retains an unique old world charm and some Asia‘s most striking colonial architecture. The lakes and parks provide pleasant and relaxing escapes from the bustle of the city, overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi city tour – Lao Cai (Breakfast at hotel)
Day 2 of your Vietnam discovery starts with breakfast at hotel, followed by a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origin dates back to the foundation of Hanoi a thousand years ago. Your tour of Hanoi continues with a trip to the remarkable Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university.
After your own lunch, you’ll enjoy a walk around the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake and through the less peaceful Old Quarter, a bewildering maze of shopping streets and restaurants with an amazing assortment of architecture - traditional tube houses, countless pagodas, artisans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses and modern concrete edifices. You will see an evening performance of Hanoi's famous water puppets before having a transfer to Hanoi Railway Station for a night train to Lao Cai with your tour guide escort. Overnight on train
Day 3: Lao Cai station – Sapa – Heavens Gate 2,900m (Breakfast at local restaurant, Picnic Lunch & Dinner)
The train arrives in Lao Cai early in the morning and you have breakfast at Lao Cai station before heading by car for the Silver Waterfall where you take the short walk to the waterfall. Then you're driven on to Heavens Gate, the highest road in Vietnam from where you'll get your first sight of Fansipan, the highest peak of Indochina. You can take photos of the stunning views before starting your climb. At first, the trek is relatively easy until lunchtime. After a couple of hours hiking, you'll have a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a good lunch.
A short break before continue trekking up and down towards the campsite and en route you have many opportunities to enjoy the scenery and magnificent views of the Sapa area and beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. You should arrive at the campsite at 2,900m in the late afternoon then the rest of time is for relaxing and dinner. Overnight at campsite.
Day 4: 2,900m – Top of Fansipan (Picnic Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Your adventure tour reaches its climax after breakfast when you make your final ascent to the top of Fansipan mountain. Savour and enjoy your achievement amid truly spectacular scenery. Later you'll begin the descent which includes a stopover for lunch. In the afternoon, you continue with a tough trek all the way downhill through the rainforest. This part requires great concentration as parts of the trail are steep and tricky - until you get to the campsite at 2700m. Overnight at campsite.
Day 5: Continue downhill to Sinchai village – Sapa (Picnic Breakfast & Lunch)
This morning you wake up again in the fresh and pure atmosphere of a magnificent natural environment before heading back to civilization. Trek downhill through protected forest and after a couple of hours, you stop for lunch. Continue descending towards Sin Chai village of the Back Hmong minority. On the way you'll again see unbelievable views of the valley and its beautiful surroundings. Your car will be waiting for you there to take you back to Sapa, where you can celebrate, relax and perhaps treat yourself to a spa. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 6: Sapa – Lao Cai station – Hanoi (Breakfast at hotel)
Day 6 of your adventure holiday is a whole day free in Sapa to refresh yourselves after yesterday’s exertions. You can stroll around this colourful town, rent a bike to visit more ethnic villages around town, or simply relax, in cafes and restaurants. In the late afternoon, you have a transfer to Lao Cai for the overnight train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train (Cabin of 04 persons with air conditioning).
Day 7: Morning arriving Hanoi (Breakfast at local restaurant PHO traditional)
When you get to Hanoi station early in the morning, you are met and finish your trip by experiencing Hanoi morning life with Tai Chi practice and the flower market then check in hotel for a leisure day for relax or shopping on your own activities. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 8: Hanoi Departure (Breakfast at hotel)
After breakfast you are free to relax until your transfer to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight. Trip ends at Noi Bai airport
